The new Cyber Resilience Act harmonizes cybersecurtiy requirements for the design, development, production, and making available on the market of hardware and sofrware products. It aims to ensure the safety of such products and to avoid overlapping requirements between different jurisdictions. The scope of application of the regulation includes products that are connected to another device or network, except for medical devices, aeronaturical products and cars. Once signed by the presidents of the Council and of the European Parliament, it will enter into force tweny days after its publication in the Official journal.
